BruWick 28th National day

Yellow, white, black and yellow with red 'panji- panji' in the middle. This is our Brunei flag and you better remember it peeps! Last night we celebrated 28th national day of Brunei Darussalam at Warwick university Coventry. "Walaupun jauh dari negara sendiri tetapi semangat kemerdekaan tetap di hati" : D We sang Brunei national anthem together and did ikrar hari kebangsaan. We had quizzes regarding our country, crossword and memory games. Well, this certainly helps people to refresh their memory of what they learnt during primary and secondary school regarding Brunei. We had a potluck event and people had dinner throughout the games. Thank you for coming to this celebration and looking forward to see you guys again in the next event.

Thank you everyone! hoi hoi! X3

I can't seem to get this song out of my head!! Last night Mnight performance was really awesome and so exhilarating. It is a tradition for Bruwick family to join Mnight every year and especially in Dikir barat! This year our bruneian dikir barat crew were myself, zaty hasbi, sharon Lim and waie and of course Tharwana Harun who  who has perform in dikir barat for 3 years straight. Last night she was the 'gong' girl and without no doubt the singer for rolling in the deep!  Not forgetting Jocelyn Hou in the military dance. We had a whole row to ourselves which consist of about 30 seats. Thank you for coming guys and I hope you enjoy the shows. I also want to say thank you to MSA for allowing us to perform with  amazing Malaysian society. We had fun and it was a great experience practising since start of term 2 almost every night. Will certainty miss you guys! I will 'paksa' the junior next year to perform : D

BruWick Maulud nabi

Assalamualaikum. I was planning to do this blog last night, fresh after maulud nabi with the spirit of celebration still in full capacity but the pictures were not out yet, so here I am. Assalamualaikum again. Last night we, Bruwickies celebrated Maulud Nabi in remembrance of the birth of Prophet Muhammaad S.A.W. We did sembahyang isya' berjemaah followed by dzikir together. Then we had our sharing session related about Nabi Muhammad S.A.W, other prophet and about Islam. This is just the summary from me and I think the bruwick Islamic blog will explain more. Then we had dinner and the foods was great, especially the desert. We ended up this event with picture talking session as per usual. This are 7 of Sunnah Rasullah :
